“There will be no peace among nations until there is peace among religions. And there will be no peace among religions, until there is dialogue among religions.” - Hans Küng

Welcome to the Embracing an Interfaith Future website. Thanks to Bruce Schuman of Interspirit, it was created by the North American Interfaith Network (NAIN) in preparation for NAINConnect 2008 in San Francisco this summer. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of NAIN’s first conference, we will spend four days exploring vital, healthy interfaith relationships across the continent. Pioneers in this work will be attending and participating in the interactive dialogue on this website.

A Bay Area Host Committee organized by the Interfaith Center at the Presidio is working hard to make this conference compelling and useful to anyone interested in grassroots interfaith activity. We hope to see you here! And thanks for surfing this site!

Embracing an Interfaith Future will be explored through three lenses, and by clicking on these links, you will be taken to a page of workshops options.

Under these three headings, you will find an extraordinary array of presenters leading 36 workshops. Go to a heading, click on a workshop, and find an introduction to the subject and short biographies of the presenters.

JOIN THE DISCUSSION NOW

You are invited add your own comments and to rate the workshops. You can do so following a simple one-time registration (see top right corner of this page) that allows us to keep people from abusing the right. Please add your comments with an attitude of mutual respect and appreciation for all who participate. (Your e-address will not be used in any way or shared with anyoneected to NAIN.)

Please note that we will be launching the site without all the workshop pages complete. The rest will be completed in coming weeks.
