Structure and Requirements of Internshi=

|
· Two intern positions with a 1-year commitm= ent of 12-15/hours a week. A memorandum of understanding will be required as a commitment to the terms= . |
|
· Both candidates should be familiar with and committed to interfaith work and have a passion for interfaith relations and religious and cultural diversity. |
|
· Upon completion of the year commitment, interns will be paid a small stipend of $500 each. |
|
· Interns will receive valuable experience i= n marketing, networking, organizational development, outreach, and program planning fo= r a non-profit organization with an international focus. Interns will have the opportunit= y to be immersed in the Interfaith Movement and to meet and work with prominent people in the field. |
|
· Students are encouraged to apply. Professionals who are looking fo= r more experience in this field or are interested in a career change also are welcome to apply for an internship. For students interested in receiving college course credit, please contact your university directly for more information. Please be mindful that registration deadlines vary from university to university. <= /p> |

· As NAIN does not have a central office, Interns will telecommute from their own location and work under the guida= nce of an off-site supervisor. Each internship position is a year-long commitment. Interns need t= o be able to commit to serve approximately 12-15 hours a week (following an academic calendar). If able= , we encourage interns to serve more hours.&n= bsp; Both Interns will have to work collaboratively with each other and with NAIN representatives on projects and tasks. |

· Interns must reside in North America (Cana= da, the United States, and Mexico.) Interns must have their own computer and a reliable internet acces= s. A telephone with long distance calling will be helpful. Interns must be abl= e to travel to the annual NAIN Connect conference in the summer. Travel expens= es will be paid by NAIN. |

§ need to be fami= liar with computer office management programs, such as Word and Excel [as a minimum]. |

The selection of interns is a competitive process. The applicant's overall education, skill-set, experience, enthusiasm, and goals will be used as criteria for selection. Sho= rtly after the submission deadline, an initial review of the applications will= be completed by a review committee. Finalists will be interviewed by phone or video conferencing. Candida= tes will be notified of the results of the selection process. |
