Embracing an Interfaith Future “There will be no peace among nations until there is peace among religions. And there will be no peace among religions, until there is dialogue among religions.” - Hans Küng Welcome to the Embracing an Interfaith Future website. It was created by the North American Interfaith Network (NAIN) in preparation for NAINConnect 2008 in San Francisco this summer. In celebrating the 20th anniversary of NAIN’s first conference, we will spend five days exploring vital, healthy interfaith relationships across the continent. Pioneers in this work will be attending and participating in the interactive dialogue on this website. A Bay Area Host Committee organized by the Interfaith Center at the Presidio is working hard to make this conference compelling and useful compelling to anyone interested in grassroots interfaith activity. We hope to see you here! And thanks for surfing this site! - Sent to you in peace & love from the NAINConnect 2008 Host Committee

The North American Interfaith Network (NAIN) gathers for its 20th annual “Connect” to spend four days focused on creating an interfaith future that honors all people and promotes interreligious peace and relationship building. Anyone interested in grassroots multireligious activity is warmly invited. An extraordinary array of presenters will lead 36 workshops related to the conferences’ three themes: multifaith challenges we face, gifts we bring, and making a difference. This spring, each workshop will develop an interactive page on this site. Each workshop page will introduce its subject matter and give you a chance to respond online and to rate the workshop. Everything you might want to learn about NAIN or about the July 24-28 Connect should be accessible through the links to the left. JOIN THE WORKSHOP DISCUSSIONS Feel free to read the workshop descriptions and interactive discussion on this site by clicking one of the three themes above and then clicking on one of the workshops. If you wish to add your own comments and to rate a particular workshop, a one-time registration is simple and allows us to keep people from abusing the right. We urge you to add your comments with an attitude of mutual respect and appreciation for all who participate.
